01What is the OKX referral code and where do I enter it?
Our code is OK66688. Enter it in the “Referral code (optional)” field on the sign-up page, or use our sign-up button and it fills in automatically. It can only be added at sign-up, not to an existing account.
02Does using a referral code affect my account security?
No. The code only records who referred you and gives you the fee discount. The referrer cannot see your assets, passwords or trade history, and cannot touch your account.
03Is Google Authenticator safer than SMS codes?
Yes. SMS codes can leak through a SIM swap or intercepted messages, while authenticator codes are generated only on your phone. OKX also supports passkeys, which log you in with your fingerprint or face and resist phishing.
04What is an anti-phishing code and how do I set it?
It’s a word or string you choose. Once set, every email OKX sends you includes it. An email that claims to be from OKX but lacks your code is fake. Set it under Security center → Anti-phishing code.
05Why can’t I withdraw after changing my password?
After you change your login password, reset your authenticator or change your phone number, OKX pauses withdrawals and P2P sales for 24 hours. This protects you: even if a thief changed your password, they can’t move the money out in time.
06Can I still log in if I lose Google Authenticator?
Yes. At the verification step, choose “Can’t verify → Reset” and complete the identity check. If you wrote down your authenticator key, restoring it on a new phone is even faster.
07My account was hacked. What’s the first step?
Freeze the account to stop further withdrawals, contact in-app live chat, then change passwords, reset your authenticator and check devices. Don’t trust anyone who offers to “recover your funds”; that is almost always a second scam.
08Does OKX have a customer service phone number?
OKX’s official support is live chat in the app and on the website, open 24/7. Hang up on any caller who says they’re OKX support and asks you to transfer money or share a code, and check them in the app’s “Official verification channel”.
09Will security settings affect my new user rewards?
No. Some new user tasks actually require them. Rewards vary, so check what the app’s Rewards Center shows.
